REVLON ULTRA HD MATTE LIPCOLOUR: REVIEW

Hey there, I hope you are all well? So, talking lipsticks …. are you a gloss or matte kinda gal?  For me it’s a matte lippy all the way and I am forever on the quest to find that perfect one, and a favourite of mine at the moment is the Revlon Ultra Matte Lipcolour which currently offer a wide range of shades to suit everyone’s taste. These little beauties are definitely my ‘go to’ lipstick of choice right now ……

THE TEXTURE AND COLOUR RANGE

Lightweight, high definition with a velvety matte colour, the liquid gel formula is 100% wax free. On first observations when applying, the colour does look a little glossy however once dried the lipstick soon dissolves into a velvety matte finish (if want the colour to lose that sheen appearance quicker), then just blot very lightly with a tissue. The liquid also smells divine too, with a creamy mango and whipped vanilla fragrance. There are currently 7 high definition shades available, with Revlon welcoming new shades into the range each season. The bold colours really are bold and my favourite is HD Obsession which is a shocking pink, however if it’s something a little more subtle you prefer then try one of the fabulous nude shades such as HD Devotion or HD Seduction. I rarely wear nude however these are very flattering and never give off that crusty appearance.

THE APPLICATION

So easy to apply with the round-shaped wand and I only ever use one coat too. I have even used without a lip-liner as the brush enables such a precise finish, so perfect if are on the go too or want to re-apply very quickly.

PACKAGING

I love the packaging and the touch of silver does make them stand out in a crowd. The wand and product never clog either which is impressive, allowing you to use every last inch of colour!

PUCKER-UP RATING

Now please don’t judge me here, but on occasion I’ve forgotten to remove my lipstick after an evening out and arisen in the morning with my lips completely intact, the shade as still as bold as ever! The Mister has even been known (or unknown to him) to have sported a lovely shade of red after puckering up with me, and moving on …….

THE PRICE

Currently retailing at £8.99, which I think is a steal when you compare this to other high end brands and I will go as far as to say that I prefer this to my Mac lipsticks … available direct from Revlon however Superdrug, Boots and other high street retailers also sell a great range of shades. If it’s the perfect, flawless pout that you looking for, then I highly recommend you try out this range.

As ever, thank you for stopping by!

I am not a Revlon cosmetic user. But I loved these vibrant colours. Maybe I should try. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for reading Fadima, I do recommend trying but alternatively the nude shades are a lot more subtle.
